LCC requires training and certification in powered industrial truck operation (PIT) to ensure operators have a basic understanding of related hazards and the safe operation of the specific equipment used by the division, department, and program. Each division, department, and program that uses PITs must ensure that all operators are authorized to use such equipment and are trained and certified.
