Lansing Community College’s student support services staff are ready to help students find solutions to their personal or academic issues so they can be successful inside and outside the classroom. These services can be found in the Center for Student Support, Center for Student Access, Office of Student Compliance, the StarZone, Center for Career and Academic Pathways, and more.

The Center for Student Access provides classroom and testing accommodations for students with disabilities and helps educate the LCC community on disability-related issues. The center also collaborates with students, faculty and staff to ensure all students have equal access to educational opportunities at the College.

This specialized support network helps connect returning adult students and students with children with the additional resources they may need to be successful: child care options and scholarships, refresher courses, women’s support and more.

This federally-funded support program assists those who have experienced foster care by providing life skills mentoring, counseling and more.

International students and those whose first language is not english can find assistance in navigating through admissions and registration processes, and any additional help throughout their LCC experience.
Counseling Services
Licensed professional counselors help students through outside factors that may impede their academic success: personal matters, depression and anxiety, family issues and more.

Office of Veteran and Military Affairs

The Office of Veteran and Military Affairs proudly serves those who have served our country, and their families. From admissions to graduation, this office supports our service members. Some services include: navigating VA benefits, counseling, academic advising, the Veterans Resource Center, and more.
The Cesar Chavez Learning Center
This center provides student study spaces and a computer lab with access to printing and copying. It is also home to three student groups:

Annual Fairs
Lansing Community College welcomes the public to campus for many events: the annual Job and Internship Fair that attracts more than 120 employers each year to LCC’s West Campus; College Night invites high school students and their families to meet with more than 100 colleges and universities to the Gannon Commons; and the Transfer Fair where the community can learn about transferring-in to LCC or learn about opportunities outside of LCC.
Ombudsperson
The LCC Ombudsperson is a student advocate and can help guide students through the proper channels to resolve complaints and appeals. They are also agents for change, recommending modifications to existing rules and processes to improve the student experience.
