- Guidance with program prerequisites and sequencing.
- Support navigating transfer to four-year school options/goals.
- Advising to help navigate your pathway efficiently.
- Assistance with creating a course map to help you achieve your transfer goals and/or your certificate/associate degree completion goals.
- Degree Works graduation audits.
- Help if you change your program of study.
- Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) audits.
What is Degree Works?
Degree Works is a computerized guide to help you and your advisor monitor and plan your pathway toward completion of your certificate(s) and degree(s). Degree Works compares your coursework against the requirements for your declared major/program to produce an easy-to-read audit divided into blocks (Degree/Certificate, Major/Program, Core, etc.). Check-boxes within each block show whether requirements are completed, in-progress (enrolled courses), or are still needed. With Degree Works you also can run What-If scenarios to try different majors, and your advisor and you can set up plans for future semesters, too.

Pre-Nursing Advising Seminars
The Virtual Pre-Nursing Advising Seminar is designed to give potential applicants the information they need so that they can plan to have a competitive application. The seminar will cover the selective admissions process, admissions requirements, an overview of the point system, and steps needed to effectively plan out the nursing prerequisite coursework.
Applicants are advised to complete the Virtual Pre-Nursing Advising Seminar early in their pre-Nursing journey. Candidates must successfully complete the Virtual Pre-Nursing Advising Seminar before applying to the program. The online modules and assessments are done at your own pace and take approximately 1 hour to complete.
