Bloodborne Pathogens

Divisions, departments, and programs with employees at risk for occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens must adhere to the MIOSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard requirements. They must establish work practices and procedures as outlined, ensure at-risk employees have access to training and vaccinations before exposure to hazards, provide necessary personal protective equipment, and maintain ongoing oversight to ensure compliance.
