Lansing Community College

Students who are applying as a guest student must use our online admission application to apply to Lansing Community College. LCC does not require the paper Michigan Undergraduate Guest Application. Simply go to lcc.edu/apply, set up your login and select the Guest-Attending Other College application type. On-line admission applications are processed on a daily basis. There will be a delay when receiving your acceptance letter by mail so be sure to include an email address so that we can email your acceptance notice which will include your student ID and direct you to your next steps.

Your issuing institution(s) may send your transcripts electronically via Clearinghouse Electronic Exchange, Parchment, eSCRIP, or email registrar@lcc.edu.

If you need to review incoming credit equivalencies, please visit the transfer equivalencies page.

    Establish Placement Levels

Placement levels (and sometimes, prerequisite courses) are required in order to register for classes. There are a few ways you can establish levels:

    1. a. Upload your unofficial college transcript with our waiver. LCC also accepts SAT/ACT scores and high school GPA (within 3 years). Upload any or all of these documents through our waiver.
    2. b. If you are not able to access any of the above documents, you can take our placement tests.

    Transfer Credit

If you are planning to earn a degree or certificate at LCC, you should have your previous college send your official college credit to LCC. Once LCC receives this, we will assess it for any official transfer credit. This can take up to 4-6 weeks.

    Transfer Credit

Note: If you are a guest student taking classes at LCC to transfer back to your home institution, you can request an official copy of your transcripts once you have completed your LCC coursework.

    Orientation/Advising

As a transfer/guest student, orientation is not required. You are welcome to attend a session if you would like!

Your next step is to see an Academic Advisor* to plan out your courses. Check out advising options (including appointments, drop ins, and online advising).

*If possible, bring a copy of your unofficial transcript to refer to when meeting with an advisor.
