Unlock Free Money for College!
Lansing Community College Foundation offers more than $1.3 million in scholarships to current, returning and future LCC students. These scholarships are funded through generous donations from community members, alumni, LCC faculty and staff, as well as other organizations and individuals. 

To assist students with the scholarship application process, the LCC Foundation and other college departments offer workshops that provide applicants with the tools to make their submissions stand out.

When does the scholarship application open?

The Foundation Scholarship application opens each year in November, and applications are accepted through January for the next academic year.

Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Applications

Foundation Scholarship applications for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 year are accepted Nov. 15, 2025, through Jan. 31, 2026. 

What is a scholarship workshop?

During the workshops, attendees will learn how to apply for scholarships at LCC and discover insider tips to help their application stand out. Each workshop includes a 30-minute presentation followed by 30 minutes of application help with staff.

Attendees will:

• Get a sneak peek at the actual scholarship application questions
• Learn proven strategies to make their application shine and view examples of past applications
• Explore the many scholarships available and find the ones that are the best fit

Upcoming workshops

Register to attend an in-person and online workshop. In-person attendees will be entered to win one of three $25 Meijer gift cards, and every in-person session will feature a $250 scholarship giveaway for Spring 2026! (Future LCC students can apply their award toward their first semester in 2026. Must be present to win.)
