Suspension of On-Site Operations Time Reporting
LCC may suspend on-site operations due to an unexpected emergency, inclement weather, power outage, etc. Employees will be notified of a Suspension of On-Site Operations day by either email, Rave, emergency announcement, and/or by supervisor. All employees are expected to work remotely, with the exception of LCC Police and dispatch, unless notified differently.
Follow these instructions when time reporting on a day that was designated as Suspension of On-Site Operations:
- Employees Scheduled to Work
Employees are expected to work remotely during their regularly scheduled workday. All hours worked should be recorded on the timesheet as regular base hours.
- Full-Time Police and Dispatcher Exception
Employees are expected to work on-site during their regularly scheduled workday, unless notified differently. All hours physically worked should be recorded on the timesheet as regular base hours. No additional compensation hours will be issued during a Suspension of On-Site Operations day.
- Employees Scheduled to use Leave Time
Employees who were approved and scheduled off work should continue to use vacation, sick, PTO, or personal time. Hours used for designated leave must be recorded on the timesheet.
- Unable to Work Remotely due to Nature of Position
Employees (including student employees) who are physically unable to perform the duties of their job remotely due to the nature of their work (i.e. must be in person to complete their work), will record their regularly scheduled work hours as Closed Campus (CLO, CLM) on the timesheet. Don’t forget to include the comment stating the reason for recording closed campus hours.
Please note that if a timesheet is approved prior to the Suspension of On-Site Operations announcement, the supervising administrator will need to submit a timesheet adjustment for any adjusted hours or closed campus reporting. Supervisors also have the ability to adjust timesheets prior to approval by clicking on “Change Record” on the time entry page.
