Music Ensembles

If you are an instrumentalist or vocalist looking for an exciting regularly-scheduled and enriching musical opportunity, then join one of LCC's fine performance ensembles:

  • Concert Choir:
    Perform a wide range of music, both sacred and secular.
  • Vocal Jazz and Pop:
    vocalists and limited rhythm section instruments combine to work on contemporary styles of vocally driven music. Contact Prof. Ten Brink (tenbrinj@lcc.edu) for an audition.
  • Jazz Ensemble:
    Rehearse and perform pieces of various styles and from various periods in jazz and big band sound while learning and developing improvisational skills Contact Prof. Gewirtz (gewirtzj@lcc.edu) for an audition.
  • Multi-Instrumental Music Ensemble:
    Write, arrange, rehearse, and perform works for instrumental music ensemble of varying sizes and instrumentation.
  • Rock Band:
    Rehearse and perform rock music of diverse styles, including cover songs as well as original compositions and arrangements by students. The instrumentation is open to the characteristic make-up of rock ensembles, including guitar, bass, keyboard, drum-set instruments and singers. Other instrumentalists may join to expand the ensemble.

Each ensemble is a semester-long commitment; for semester dates, visit the college catalog. Some ensemble directors may require an audition.
