The Academic Success team supports students with a simple but essential resource: a hygiene pantry stocked with everyday items that help students stay confident, healthy and ready to learn.
Right now, the pantry relies almost entirely on staff donations. The team partners with Helping Women Period for menstrual products, but items such as deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and basic first-aid supplies depend on contributions from LCC employees. That means we can't always keep the shelves stocked, especially during spikes in demand.
A gift this Star Day will make an immediate, tangible difference for students who can't always afford these necessities. With $500, we can provide approximately:
- 100 mini first-aid kits
- 100 toothbrushes
- 100 shampoo/conditioner sets
- 100 travel shaving kits
- 200 tubes of toothpaste
- 48 travel deodorants
- 300 individual body wipes
