The Host

Tami McDiarmid

Tami McDiarmid holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice – Law Enforcement from Ferris State University and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University. She served 25 years with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, retiring in 2015 as a corrections sergeant. That same year, she joined LCC as faculty in the Adult Corrections program at West Campus. During her tenure, the LCC Local Corrections Academy earned accreditation through the Michigan Sheriff Coordinating and Training Council. In July 2023, she was appointed Program Director of Public Service Careers, a role she currently holds.
