A PsychoDelicious Conversation

Delve into the world of mental health with A PsychoDelicious Conversation, where program hosts, Mike and Morgan cover recent trends, conduct interviews with local experts, and engage with listeners to address their questions and concerns. A PscyhoDelicious Conversation is hosted by two seasoned mental health professionals, including Morgan Bowen, a nurse practitioner with prescription authority, and Mike Stratton, a therapist with decades of experience. With extensive expertise in addiction recovery, they bring a wealth of knowledge to the table.

Mike Stratton

Mike Stratton, LMSW, has been in private practice for general mental health issues and substance use recovery for decades. He’s the author of two books: Everybody Dreams, a novel set in the Lansing/East Lansing area, and The Little Green Book (a guide to breaking up with marijuana). He’s hosted jazz radio shows over the past twenty five years, The Vinyl Side of Midnight on LCC Radio/WLNZ and currently A Groove Supreme on WKAR. He’s given hundreds of trainings and speaking engagements over the years, from Maui to Montreal.

Morgan Bowen

Morgan Bowen

Morgan Bowen is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) working in private practice in the Lansing-area. He is a graduate of Rush University (Chicago, Illinois) with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and holds baccalaureate degrees from Michigan State University (Nursing) and University of Michigan (Anthropology). A native of the Lansing area, he has experience working in outpatient and inpatient psychiatry settings, residential substance abuse treatment, and the emergency room. Morgan is committed to the provision of skilled, equitable, and evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals, families, and communities. His goal is to meet the diverse needs of clients on an individual and systems level, with a focus on local LGBTQ+ communities.

Melissa Black

Melissa Black

Melissa is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner raised and currently practicing in the Lansing, Michigan area. She is a 2012 graduate of LCC's nursing program and continued her education through University of Michigan Flint (BSN ca. 2018) and Regis College in Wellesley, Massachusetts (MSN PMHNP ca. 2021). Melissa's roles in the community have ranged from volunteer to parent, student to poet to yoga teacher, to psychiatric nurse practitioner. She has a passion for and commitment to providing trauma-informed, recovery-based, evidence-based, and equitable care. She has special interests in treating folks with complex health concerns, eating disorders, anxiety, OCD and similar conditions, neurodivergence, and PTSD. It's important to her to be there for folks holistically, meeting them wherever they are at.
