Minimum Requirements to Apply
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older
- Candidates must be a resident of the LCC district
- Candidates must be a registered voter
*Current LCC employees are ineligible to apply for these positions.
How to Apply
Interested candidates must complete an application packet by the deadline to be considered for a Board appointment.
The application packet can be obtained two ways:
- You may request an application packet electronically by contacting Benita Duncan at duncanb@lcc.edu or (517) 483-5252.
- You may pick-up a hard copy in-person at LCC Police, Room 2110 on the 2nd floor of the Gannon Building located at 411 N. Grand Avenue,Lansing, MI 48933.
Applications will be available for pick-up/drop-off during the application period between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Completed applications must be returned via email to duncanb@lcc.edu or in-person to LCC Police.
Other Information
- The person(s) appointed to this position will hold office until December 31, 2024. The election to fill the remaining two years of one position and the remaining four years of the other position will be held at the next general election in November 2024.
- The Board of Trustees will meet on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to reduce the pool of applicants. If you are forwarded, you will be notified immediately. The Board is tentatively scheduled to hold a special meeting to conduct interviews on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. The final candidates will be selected at this meeting and sworn in at the February 19, 2024, Regular Board of Trustees Meeting at 6:00 p.m.
