As a central resource, the Purchasing Department at Lansing Community College serves the community by developing purchasing policies and procedures, providing tools to enable the best value purchase of goods and services, and assuring that College purchasing complies with applicable state, federal and industry standards.
Achievement of Success of Excellence in Procurement Award
The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement award is designed to recognize organizational excellence in procurement. The program measures innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership attributes of the procurement function.
Recipients of the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018.
In order to increase the development and awareness of environmentally sound products, Lansing Community College Purchasing Department staff ensures that wherever possible and economical, specifications are amended to provide for expanded use of products and services that contain the maximum level of post-consumer recyclable waste and/or recyclable content, without significantly affecting the intended use of the product or service. It is recognized that cost analysis is required in order to ensure that the products are made available at competitive prices.
