College Connect is a no-cost opportunity to prepare students for college-level classes in just four weeks. The program is designed to help students succeed by providing extra support in reading, writing and math. In addition, they get to experience what college life is like!
Who should enroll in this program?
- Recent high school graduates (typically within the last two years) who have not completed college-level Math or English courses
- Michigan Reconnect participants new to LCC have not completed college-level Math or English courses
- Those who earned their GED and have not completed college-level Math or English courses

Michigan Reconnect participants new to LCC, and GED recipients - Skill-building workshops in math, reading and writing
- A supportive student cohort and learning community
- Introduction to college resources, expectations and success strategies
Provided resources
While in the program, students will have access to the following resources to ensure their success:
- LCC laptop (bring to campus daily)
- Free campus Wi-Fi
- Meals and snacks
- CATA bus passes
What will students gain from this experience?
Upon completion of the College Connect program, students will:
- Be eligible to enroll in college-level English and Mathematics with or without co-support courses
- Have experienced a college environment
- Broaden knowledge of academic skills, college resources and career readiness

- Schedule: 8:30 a.m to noon, Tuesday through Friday each week (four weeks total)

How to Enroll
By July 1, 2026, complete all of the mandatory tasks:
- Watch the Orientation Video, and follow its instructions
- Complete the College Connect Intake Form
- Complete the LCC Admissions Application to become an official LCC student
- Remember to select Summer 2026 as your admission term.

NOTE: Students with disabilities who may need accommodations during College Connect should contact the Center for Student Access (CSA). If you had an IEP or 504 plan in high school, CSA can take a copy to review to set up accommodations. You can access the Center for Student Access website, or call (517) 483-5323. Contacting CSA early helps ensure that accommodations are put in place as soon as possible.
