Admissions

Andy is an Admissions Counselor at LCC. A mid-Michigan native, he graduated from Holt High School and Alma College, where he majored in Business Administration. Andy played baseball through high school and college and credits that experience with having afforded him many lasting friendships, travel opportunities and unique experiences.

Andy spent a decade in the home improvement industry, managing four different Home Depot and Lowe’s stores in Michigan and Indiana. He also founded his own company, invested in properties and remodeled houses as a licensed residential builder.

In 2013, Andy returned to the world of college baseball and over the following ten years coached at three different colleges and one high school. He was Head Baseball Coach at LCC from 2013-2016, and at the University of Olivet from 2016-2020. His 2016 team at LCC set the school record for wins in a season and made NJCAA Regionals for the first time in school history. Other coaching roles included Cornerstone University (pitching coach), Fowlerville High School (head coach), and Kalamazoo Growlers (hitting coach). In 2022, Andy returned to Alma College as Assistant Director of Admissions at Alma College before making the move back to LCC in 2023 in a similar recruiting position.

Andy lives in St. Johns and enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include travelling, camping, attending college and professional baseball games across the country, and coaching youth sports in St. Johns.
