Conservation and Sustainability is concerned with protecting the materials, processes, and life of the Earth, and with attempting to determine how these affect people and resources.

Conservation scientists collect physical and chemical data, analyze natural processes, monitor species’ populations, and predict future results. They examine locations, resources, changes in environment, and human/environmental interactions in different regions of the world.

Careers that explore natural resources, environmental problems and environmental remediation allow a person to utilize both their scientific training and sense of ethical responsibility.
