Purpose of Program

This degree is designed for students wishing to transfer after having completed an Associate degree. This Enhanced A.A.S. option allows completion of credits required for employment or transfer through the A.A.S. and completion of additional courses required for the Bachelor’s degree, as designated by transfer articulation agreements. Required coursework follows for the Veterinary Nursing Track of the Agricultural Technology/Veterinary Nursing, Enhanced degree.

Completion of the Track

To be considered for admission to MSU’s Certificate or Bachelors program, an applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, a minimum Math and Science GPA of 2.5 (with a minimum of 2.0 in all prerequisite Math and Science courses), and a minimum GPA of 2.5 for the applicant’s most recent 12 credits.

MSU’s admission is competitive.  Please consult MSU College of Veterinary Medicine for application deadlines.  Successful applicants would start attending classes at the MSU Veterinary School the following fall semester.  Students are advised to have a strong background in biology, chemistry, algebra and writing.  Students must seek at least 80 hours of experience in the veterinary clinical setting.  This experience will help students form the foundation for career development and is part of MSU’s admission requirements.  Students planning to transfer should see an academic advisor before enrolling in any course.
