LCC is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Recently, three workgroups developed recommendations to help make LCC a more Neurodivergent-Friendly Campus. We are now moving into the implementation phase and forming teams focused on putting those recommendations into action.

The three areas of focus are:

1. Building Professional Development Pathways
   Identify professional learning pathways that build campuswide understanding of neurodivergence, equip faculty and staff with practical strategies, and support the long-term sustainability of inclusive practices.
   
   
2. Social Integration, Inclusion and Community Building
   Foster belonging and reduce stigma for neurodivergent students while strengthening relationships among students, faculty and staff through expanded peer support, inclusive programming and greater neurodivergence awareness.
   
   
3. Sensory-Friendly Environments
   Improve physical spaces and sensory experiences across all LCC campuses to reduce overstimulation, increase comfort, and help neurodivergent students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
