Enrollment now open for Electrical Control Technician Boot Camp

LANSING, Mich. – Enrollment is open for LCC’s Electrical Control Technician Boot Camp that begins Oct. 6, 2025. The six-week session is tuition-free for eligible individuals who have earned their high school diploma or GED within the last five years.
 
The Electrical Control Technician program provides students with vital skills for success in industrial automation and electrical systems. Covering core electrical concepts, advanced circuitry, and control systems, the program trains students to operate and troubleshoot complex industrial equipment. Emphasis is given to programming, configuring, and optimizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure safe and efficient machinery operation. After completing the program, students will be ready to pursue industry-recognized SACA (Smart Automation Certification Alliance) credentials, showcasing their expertise in modern automation technologies and controls. This certification enhances job prospects in the advanced manufacturing and automation sectors.

The program runs from October 6 to November 14, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Upon successful completion, graduates will be eligible to take the exam for six SACA credentials.
