LCC prepares to celebrate Paralympic champion

LANSING, Mich. – Lansing Community College will celebrate our very own champion, Jayci Simon for her
Paralympic silver medal win, with a victory parade, autographs and a Q&A session on
Monday, Oct 28, beginning at 4 p.m.
Alongside her mixed doubles partner, Simon earned a silver medal, which was Team USA’s
first-ever Para badminton medal during the Paris Paralympics in early September. Simon
is a full time LCC student, studying kinesiology and exercise science.
LCC is very proud of Simon and we are thrilled to celebrate the strength, resilience
and dedication she represents.
Join us in the celebration that begins with a Victory Parade – be sure to come and
line the Mall at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28 to honor Simon’s success.
