LANSING, Mich. — LCC will host the Mid-Michigan Board of Directors and the Lansing American Red Cross for a community blood drive 11 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 in the Gannon Building’s Michigan Room.

According to the Red Cross, blood is routinely transfused to patients with cancer and other diseases, premature babies, organ transplant recipients and trauma victims.
 
Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, B negative and A negative. The Red Cross states, type O negative is the universal blood type that can be safely transfused to anyone and is often used to treat trauma patients.
 
While appointments are strongly encouraged, walk-ins are welcome.
