Welcome to the Maya Angelou Training Center! Named after the renown poet, author, and master teacher, Dr. Maya Angelou, MATC provides opportunities of growth, cultural awareness, and understanding.

Using Dr. Angelou's poem, "Still I Rise" as our beacon, which emphasizes that despite the struggles faced, you can rise above them through resilience and unwavering determination as our beacon, the center offers the same grit, tenacity, and commitment to you.

Through a collective of RISE Trainings and Learning opportunities that empower you to RISE above challenges and circumstances, the Maya Angelou Training Center (MATC) strives to increase Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging awareness.

You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I’ll rise.

- Dr. Maya Angelou
