Dawn Hardin, a native of Buffalo, New York, has dedicated much of her adult life to the service of others. Over the past twenty-five years, she has shouldered the burden of impacting the local education system, earning tenure status during her time with the Lansing School District.

In consideration of life’s divine mission, Dawn established a plethora of community based programs committed to addressing the varying needs of the surrounding community. Her most noted program is Sister Circle, a program established to partner at-risk students with both high school and college mentors.

Dawn has decades of experience that allowed her to build an eclectic network of influence. The keen perspective resulting from this exposure has led her to develop impactful strategies to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion is valued within the community by its stakeholders.

After matriculating through an associate program at Lansing Community College, she went on to graduate from both Central Michigan University and Walden University, earning a B.S. in Education and a M.S. in Mathematics respectfully.

During the past several Summer semesters, Dawn has served as the Coordinator of LCC’s College Connect Program and Math Refresher Workshops. However her main focus over the past decade has been to serve as an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at the college. She was also recently elected as a member of the President’s Strategic Enrollment Task Force

Dawn has been married to her middle school sweetheart, Frank, for 38 years. She has three beautiful children, Frank Jr., Dionna, and Jenifer. Most importantly, she is the proud grandmother of seven vibrant seeds sown into the next generation.
