Lansing Community College is pleased to offer training in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to ALL LCC employees and students. We are committed to providing an inclusive, equitable, and diverse experience to members of our community. This DEI training is intended to assist you in learning more about DEI topics and issues as you play an important role in our community efforts.
For Students
DEI Training for Students can be accessed by self-enrolling in the training within D2L. Instructions for self-enrolling in trainings within D2L can be found on the eLearning Student Resource Site.

For Employees
DEI Training for Employees can be found in your transcript inside the Talent Management System (LMS). The Talent Management System (LMS) link is located on the right-hand column of the Work tab inside myLCC.
DEI Course FAQ's
Who is required to take and complete these courses?
All LCC employees and students. If you are a student employee, you will need to complete the student DEI course only.
What are the timeframes to complete these courses?
Students
All students must complete the DEI course within their first year, or two semesters not including summer.
- If you start in the Fall, you should complete the training by May of the next year.
- If you start in the Spring semester you should complete the training by December of that year.
- If you start in the Summer, you will be considered a Fall start of that year.
Employees
Employees will need to complete the training within the appropriate learning cycle.

- Staff by July
I have completed the online portion of the training, what should I do next?
After you have completed the online portion you should reach out to the Chief Diversity Officer Tonya Bailey at bailet20@star.lcc.edu in order to receive your micro-credential information and to be enrolled for the next portion of the DEI training at LCC.
