
Michael Beyer has been a professional theatrical designer, director, and educator
for over 20 years. Michael has designed for Wayne State University, The Wharton Center,
Lansing Community College, Lansing Children's Ballet Theatre, Flint Youth Theatre,
and he is a member of the Board of Directors for Ensemble Theatre in Cleveland, OH.
He also actively works in the concert and music festival industry as part of the team
that brings both the Electric Forest Music Festival and Lost Lands Music Festival
to life, and he has worked as a Lighting Designer for several touring bands over the
years. His local work over the years has earned a handful of Thespie and Pulsar awards
from local newspapers. Some other notable theatre credits include: Edinburgh Fringe
Festival (Scotland), Theatre By The Sea (Matunuk, RI), The Performance Network (Ann
Arbor, MI), Michigan Shakespeare Festival (Jackson, MI), Boarshead Theatre (Lansing,
MI), Jewish Ensemble Theatre (Detroit, MI), Hilberry Repertory Theatre (Detroit, MI),
Cain Park (Cleveland, OH), Goodspeed Opera House (East Haddam, CT), The Ensemble Theatre
(Cleveland, OH), and The Attic Theatre (Appleton, WI). He holds an MFA in Lighting
Design from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
