Purpose of Program

This degree is designed for students wishing to transfer to a partner institution with a 3+1 articulation agreement with Lansing Community College. This Enhanced AAS option allows students to transfer additional credits toward the Bachelor’s degrees as noted below. This allows completion of credits required for the A.S., A.A.S., or G.A. and completion of additional courses required for the Bachelor’s degree, as designated by transfer articulation agreements. Required coursework follows for the Science and Mathematics, Enhanced A.A.S. pathways.

Additional Information

A student must earn a minimum grade of 2.0 in all courses.

Completion of the Track

Students may enter this curriculum in one of two ways. A student may begin at LCC, taking General Education classes, and apply to the Institute for Agricultural Technology (IAT) for admittance to one of the specific concentrations including Agricultural Industries, Dairy Management, Electrical Technology, Fruit, Vegetable and Organic Horticulture Management, Horse Management, Landscape and Nursery Management, Livestock Industries, Sports and Commercial Turf Management, and Turfgrass Management Golf Course. Alternatively, students may be admitted first to a specific Certificate program in the IAT and then decide to enter the joint program to receive the AAS degree.

Completing courses as directed meets transfer articulation agreement requirements for each institution.
