Theatre Program presents ‘Island Song’

LCC Performing Arts presents “Island Song,” the story of an ambitious group of 20- and 30-somethings navigating the promises and perils of big city life. As the city spins around them, they get lost, fight back, fall in love, face setbacks and, most importantly, come alive with the strength that comes with conquering the Big Apple. With its percussive, soaring pop score, this musical has been described as a “unique musical anthology” and “one of the best new plays you’ll see.”

Performances will be held in Dart Auditorium on Nov. 7-9 and 14-15, with Friday and Saturday shows beginning at 7 p.m. and Sunday shows at 2 p.m.

Directed by LCC Music Faculty Kelly Stuible-Clark, with words by Sam Carner, music by Derek Gregor, and story by Sam Carner, Derek Gregor and Marlo Hunter.

Admission is free. Audience members should visit the box office to pick up a seat voucher for entry into the theater. The box office will open 30 minutes before curtain. Reservations will not be taken.
