Want to know more about LCC’s efforts to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students? A report from the third-party experts at Landmark College is now available for you to read. The report offers recommendations for how LCC can create a Neurodivergent-Friendly Campus.
The college has settled on three categories of work from this report on which to focus over the next two years:
- Building Professional Development Pathways, including incorporating neurodivergency training in onboarding for new faculty and staff
- Social Integration, Inclusion and Community Building, including fostering a sense of belonging, reducing stigma, building trust and strengthening campus relationships
- Sensory-Friendly Environments, including designing common spaces and sensory breakrooms
Please note: This report provides recommendations only. LCC is excited to implement these suggestions, but may not move forward with every idea proposed.
