LCC is participating in the global Climate Change Theatre Action festival with two performances of short plays, poetry, art and information presented by students and college employees. The event will be held at noon and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in LCC’s Black Box Theatre.

LCC’s production features six Climate Change Theatre Action plays:

  • “The Donation,” by Jordan Hall (Canada)
  • “Space Cat,” by Lewis Hetherington (Scotland)
  • “The Presentation,” by Juan C. Sanchez (U.S./Cuba)
  • “Friends for Life,” by Himali Kothari (India)
  • “Now,” by Wren Brian (Scotland/Canada)

The plays are directed by LCC Theatre faculty Emma Baker, Ginneh Thomas and Paige Tufford. Admission is free!

The event will also include displays of event posters created by Graphic Design students, climate-themed poetry from the LCC Community-Generated Poetry Project, and a Reclaimed Fashion Show of garments made by LCC Art and Design students from recycled materials.

Launched in 2015, Climate Change Theatre Action is a worldwide festival of short plays about the climate crisis.
