Celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with LCC

Join in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. with extraordinary speakers, music, memorabilia, food and more. This event will be held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, in the Gannon Building’s Michigan Room and Grand River Room.

Program details

  • Welcome: Steve Robinson, LCC President
  • Keynote Speaker: Elaine Hardy, Chairperson for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission of Mid-Michigan
  • Guest speaker: Andy Schor, City of Lansing Major
  • Panel discussion featuring Willie Davis, LCC Professor of Sociology & Education; Jeff Janowick, LCC Professor of History; Kelli Ellsworth Etchison, Chief Marketing & Diversity Officer for LAFCU; and Tanya McClain, Interim Chief Diversity Officer
  • Music performance by LCC Jazz Band
  • Memorabilia Museum Gallery, AfroVision x Martin Luther King, Jr. (Grand River Room)
