10-Minute Play Festival at LCC

Original student work will feature at LCC’s Summer Stage Under the Stars on July 23-27, during the 10-Minute Play Festival.

Directed by Paige Dunckel and Chelle Peterson, the evening includes four impressive plays written by LCC students and one play written by an LCC employee.

“Please Silence Your Cellphones,” by Natalie Kowalsky
A play within a play, this comedic piece pits a die-hard actor against that one person in the audience who always forgets to silence their cellphone!

“In The Closet,” by Stephanie Morales
A young woman discovers she’s been hiding something in her closet that wants to break free.

“Bonded Souls,” by Sierra Barrix
Two humans meet in a world that neither recognizes but soon learn they were both meant to be there all along – together.

“All These Buckeyes,” by Joshua Thompson-Linton
A farcical work that touches on current issues, HOA President Bingus Shtunk is determined to keep the Ohioans in their place, but there are so many buckeyes! Will his assistant Gibble save the day?

“Fred Side Story,” by Fred Engelgau
What’s in a name? Sometimes, it can make you or break you! Fred tries to fit in and find true love.

Performances begin at 7 p.m. on July 23-27. All shows will be held at LCC’s outdoor amphitheater, located on the Downtown Campus Mall. In the case of rain or extreme heat, performances will move to Dart Auditorium.
