LANSING, Mich. – Lansing Community College is proud to announce that Dr. Toni Glasscoe received the Distinguished Woman in Higher Education Leadership Award from the MI-ACE Women’s Network at its annual conference, hosted by LCC at the Kellogg Center.

Since 2001, the MI-ACE Women’s Network has presented the Distinguished Woman in Higher Education Leadership Award. It recognizes individuals who, beyond their official responsibilities, serve as mentors, encouragers, promoters, and celebrators of women, actively making a positive difference beyond their campuses.

“Our entire college community is very proud of Dr. Glasscoe, and we celebrate this honor with her,” said Dr. Steve Robinson, LCC President. “She deserves this recognition for her outstanding leadership, her commitment to student success, and her significant contributions to advancing excellence in higher education.”

Glasscoe serves as associate vice president at LCC, where she has worked to strengthen partnerships among higher education institutions, local public schools and community organizations to expand college access, enhance career readiness and improve student success.

Additionally, Glasscoe serves as a trustee on the Grand Ledge Public Schools Board of Education and represents LCC on several boards, including the College and Career Readiness Advisory Board, the Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties Board, and the Lansing Promise Board.

She received her Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University, her Master of Arts in Education, and her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Oral Roberts University.

Glasscoe has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for more than 20 years and has led a group at Ele’s Place for 15 years. She serves as a bridge builder, mentors emerging leaders, and supports first-generation students.

Her most important roles are wife, mother, and grandmother. Glasscoe has been married to Michael for over four decades, and they have a daughter, Sydney, and an 18-year-old grandson, Caleb.

We salute you, Dr. Toni Glasscoe, and applaud your courage, leadership, and all the wonderful things you are.
