Lansing Community College to host Tech Forward: Men of Color 2026
Event connects Future Leaders with Technology, Careers and Inspiration

The free event is designed to connect emerging leaders with the future of technology, skilled trades, and other in-demand career pathways. Tech Forward: Men of Color brings together students, professionals, leaders, and community members for a morning of hands-on exploration, networking, and inspiration. Participants will engage with real technology tools and interactive activities, learn how technology connects to everyday life and careers, and discover resources to help them take their next steps toward academic and professional success.
This year’s keynote speaker is Todd “T.J.” Duckett, former Michigan State University Spartan and NFL first-round draft pick, now a successful entrepreneur, transformational leader and community advocate. Duckett will share his personal journey of resilience, leadership and opportunity creation, and will engage attendees through an interactive activity designed to challenge and inspire.
A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Duckett is the CEO of Duckett Enterprises, founder of New World Flood, co-owner of Duckett Brothers Facilities Management, and co-founder of The Black Success Network & Career Training Camp. Drafted in the first round of the NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons, he also played for the Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks.
The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required and space is limited. Those interested in attending should reserve their spot online at lcc.edu/tfmoc.
