LCC welcomes new HR executive director

LANSING, Mich.  Lansing Community College has named Kristi Dawley as its new Executive Director of Human Resources. In this role, she will oversee total compensation, employment, and labor relations, while also serving as a member of the college’s Executive Leadership Team.

Dawley brings more than two decades of human resources experience, including 17 years at Mott Community College in Flint. During her time at Mott, she led the research and implementation of a new health insurance provider, successfully lowering costs for both the college and its employees without compromising benefits or service quality. She also served as lead negotiator for two successor contracts annually in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and spearheaded the evaluation and onboarding of a new Employee Assistance Program (EAP) vendor to enhance employee wellness resources.

She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Central Michigan University, as well as Title IX Investigator Certification. Dawley is also a former president of the Michigan Community College Human Resources Association.
