LANSING, Mich. – The annual professional conference for Michigan women working in higher education will take place on June 16-17, hosted by Lansing Community College at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing.

The MI-ACE Women’s Network Conference will welcome educators from public and private colleges and universities for two days of encouragement and skill-building. The theme for 2025 is EmpowerED: Break Barriers and Influence Change, and revolves around helping attendees make positive progress in their personal and professional lives.

“The MI-ACE Women’s Network Annual Conference is one of my favorite times of the year—a chance for us to come together, reconnect, and celebrate the incredible strength and leadership of women across Michigan’s colleges and universities,” Dr. Connie Tingson Gatuz, State Chair, MI-ACE Women’s Network, said. “This year, we’re creating space for powerful conversations, fresh ideas, and authentic connections that will energize and empower us all. From emerging professionals to experienced leaders, every voice and perspective adds value, you belong here. Together, we’re shaping the future of higher education—one meaningful connection at a time.”

The event will feature transformational plenary, breakout, and special interest sessions designed to inspire and equip participants for their leadership journeys.

As in previous years, the 2025 conference will uphold the tradition of fostering strong connections and providing new pathways to growth, collaboration and engagement.

Dr. Seleana Samuel, Vice President of Business Operations at Lansing Community College, is excited for this annual gathering of women in higher education. LCC is one of 50 member institutions within the MI-ACE Network.
