LCC expanding its Neurodivergent Friendly Campus commitment
As part of this ongoing effort, LCC partnered with leading experts from Landmark College’s Institute for Research and Training. Their team conducted a comprehensive review of the college’s campus environment, policies, and practices, engaging directly with students and employees to assess areas for growth and improvement.
“I am thrilled to share that the final report from Landmark College has been received,” Dr. Toni Glasscoe, LCC’s Associate Vice President of External Affairs, Development & K-12 Operations, said. “The college will focus its efforts over the next two years in three key areas as outlined below.”
- Professional Development Pathways
Expanding training opportunities for faculty and staff, including the integration of neurodiversity-focused education into onboarding and ongoing development. - Social Integration, Inclusion, and Community Building
Fostering a stronger sense of belonging by reducing stigma, building trust, and creating more opportunities for meaningful connection across campus. - Sensory-Friendly Environments
Enhancing physical spaces by designing common areas and sensory breakrooms that support diverse sensory needs.
"Together, we’re shaping a campus that welcomes, supports, and empowers every member of our community," Glasscoe said.
