Fall semester begins with Welcome Week activities

LANSING, Mich.  - LCC’s Welcome Week celebration returns for fall. Activities begin Thursday, Aug. 22, and will continue through Friday, Aug. 30 across campus locations.
 
Welcome Week allows new students to get oriented with campus, and all students to enhance their college experience and meet their fellow Stars and staff.
 
LCC faculty and staff are on hand at all locations to assist students in finding classrooms, parking spots and answering any questions.
 
Some of the week’s most popular events at the Downtown Campus are listed below:
 

  • Therapy mini horse - Thursday, Aug. 22 from 12– 2 p.m. on the Mall
  • Non-Profit and Government Agency Fair: Tuesday, Aug. 27, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Gannon Building Highway Check out the attending employers
  • Party with the Prez: Thursday, Aug. 29, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Mall (or the Commons, in case of rain). Students can enjoy free food, try their luck in the mobile escape room, enjoy a DJ and inflatable nightclub, and win amazing prizes like a new laptop, gift cards, or T-shirts.
  • Campus Resource and Registered Student Organization Fair: Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Mall. Students are invited to come meet representatives from college service areas and student clubs.
