Purpose of Program

This degree is designed for students wishing to transfer after having completed an Associate of Arts or Associate of Applied Arts degree in the area of Communication, Journalism, or Language (Communication, Journalism, Sign Language Interpreter, or World Language). The  Communication, Journalism, and Language, Enhanced AAA option allows students to transfer additional credits toward a Bachelor’s degree noted below, as designated by transfer articulation agreements. Required coursework follows for the Enhanced degree, Communication, Journalism, and Sign Language Interpreter tracks.

A student must earn a minimum grade of 2.0 in all courses.

Completion of an Associate of Arts or Applied Associate of Arts Degree

Complete the courses required for the Associate of Arts or Associate of Applied Arts degree listed below. Completion of that coursework is a requirement for completing of the Enhanced degree.  Forty-five credits of the Communication or Journalism AA coursework must be completed before declaring the Enhanced major.  A minimum of forty-five credits of the Sign Language Interpreter AAA coursework and completion of SIGN 266 and SIGN 268 is required before declaring the Enhanced major for the Sign Language track.
