HyFlex Training
HyFlex is an educational model blending "hybrid" and "flexible" learning. It empowers
students with three participation options: traditional in-person classes, real-time
online sessions via Webex, and asynchronous learning through D2L. This design prioritizes
maximum student flexibility, ensuring all course materials are accessible regardless
of the chosen modality.
This is an online, self-paced, 3-unit course that must be completed within the same
semester as registration. HyFlex is a pass/fail training that requires graded assignments
and an overall score of 70% for a certificate of successful completion. This training
counts as 8 hours of professional development.
Core HyFlex Principles
- Student choice in learning path
- Equivalent learning experiences
- Course materials are accessible across all modalities
- Accessibility across all platforms and modalities
- Focus on learning outcomes
- Integration of UDL guidelines
