Nomination Categories

Faculty Member:

Awarded to the full-time Teaching or Academic Professional Faculty Member whose service to the College is consistent with its mission, vision, and guiding principles. Awarded to an individual who provides excellent instructional support to students with a demonstrated track record of creating an environment that is conducive to student learning, growth, and collaboration. They positively influence students and colleagues alike to maintain a welcoming learning experience and invest time and effort in to mentoring and/or non-instructional support to achieve success.

Adjunct Faculty:

Awarded to the adjunct Teaching Faculty or Academic Professional whose service to the College is consistent with its mission, vision, and guiding principles. This employee consistently supports student learning inside and outside of the classroom; actively demonstrates a commitment to providing an exemplary course experience to students; and participates in activities that support student success, retention, and an enhanced learning environment.

Staff Member:

This award honors a Staff Member who embodies consistent dedication to surpassing performance requirements with a commitment to fostering a positive work and learning environment for the entire college community. The recipient collaborates with peers with honesty, openness, and compassion, developing trust and credibility through respectful communication and personal accountability. They are a champion for change and willingly shares their knowledge and skills with peers to create a united team. All part-time and full-time staff, with the exception of ELT members, are eligible for nomination.

Team:

This award celebrates LCC teams that are comprised of diverse current employees such as faculty, staff, and administrators, that work together to achieve outstanding collective success on a specific project, generating a significant, lasting impact on the College.

President’s Award:

This award honors an exceptional employee for achievements that create a substantial, enduring impact on the College's pursuit of excellence. The recipient is a dedicated role model and mentor who collaboratively develops innovative strategies to improve departmental effectiveness and modernize current practices, thereby supporting the College's long-term mission and strategic goals.
