Lansing Community College prides itself on providing students with high quality education at a low cost to students. The college also offers numerous resources that can help students with the cost, one being the LCC Foundation.

The LCC Foundation is an alumni-run organization that provides numerous scholarships to students taking classes at LCC. The foundation is funded by donations from businesses, individuals and nonprofits that want to help support LCC students.

With over $1 million in scholarships available for students, the applications for the scholarships are linked on the Scholarship Workshops page of the LCC website. Students are prompted to login with their LCC account and then can fill out the questionnaire to apply for scholarships. Students can also explore a variety of scholarships available and check to see which they may qualify for.

LCC Foundation Development Coordinator Steve Skowronek encourages all LCC students to apply for Foundation scholarships: “Scholarships are free money and only take a few minutes to apply for.”

Currently, the LCC Foundation is offering an additional special scholarship thanks to a generous donation. At least 150 students will be awarded $1500 or more. The application is open to all students and closes on Sept. 28. For students looking to find out more information about the Foundation and the resources provided, please contact the LCC Foundation office.
