Between the recent assassination attempt, the coming election and enrollment deadlines, everyone is a little on edge. Stress is OK, but holding on to it is not! Here are some events to help soothe the soul:
Enjoy the musical stylings of the Christopher Minami Quartet in the M.A.C. Parking Garage, located at 310 M.A.C. Ave. in East Lansing, this Friday, July 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The performance is part of a free concert series that takes place on Friday evenings, set to end on Friday, Aug. 23. All planned were confirmed by Parking Ambassador Samuel Granger.
“It’s happening,” Granger said. “Bring your own lawn chair or blanket, and money for food!”

For those who are in need, there will be a “Death Café,” hosted by “Fellowship for Today,” beginning at 2 p.m., this Saturday. While everyday seems like a great day to celebrate life, there are also days to appreciate death.
The monthly meeting will be held at the Fellowship for Today office, located at 600 W. Maple St. in Lansing.
This is a meeting meant to provide a safe space for community members to speak about dying and death. Anyone is allowed to attend and share their thoughts, seek comfort or ask questions. Click here for details.
The 2024 Season East Lansing Farmers Market, scheduled to continue until Oct. 28 of this year, will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Valley Court Park, located at 280 Valley Court in East Lansing.
Not everyone has time for a leisurely Sunday stroll in search of fruits in vegetables, but for those who like to shop for 100 percent homegrown/made products in the great outdoors, stop by!
