The U of M Sparrow Mobile Clinic is offering free doctor visits on LCC’s downtown campus mall this Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Mobile Clinic is entirely funded by donations, so students get completely free health screenings, immunizations and/or a doctor visit if needed.
“I was not aware that U of M Sparrow has a mobile clinic,” LCC music student Dan Gallagher said. “Free checkups would certainly be helpful for a lot of people, specifically those who can’t afford health insurance and are at a higher risk of illness.”
No insurance or appointment is needed. Walk-ins are welcome.
“Perhaps this could be a small step forward toward achieving affordable healthcare in the United States,” Gallagher added. “That would be revolutionary for so many.”
Receiving healthcare is a human right, so head into the semester with a clean bill of health! Learn more about the Mobile Clinic and other services they provide in the community here.
