Many students depart Lansing Community College at the end of the spring semester with a certificate, a degree or a transfer pathway. To give students a leg up in today’s competitive job market, the college often hosts professional development events.
On Jan. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Gannon Building Highway, the Student Life and Career & Employment Services Offices are putting on the Spring 2026 Non-Profit & Government Agency Fair.
Attending the fair are various organizations and employers such as the City of Lansing, Clean Water Action, and Michigan State Police. In total, 19 agencies and non-profits will be attending.
Patti Ayers, the director of Student Life, encourages students to attend the fair and underscores the value of attending. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to practice their professional skills and make connections that could possibly lead to future career positions,” Ayers said.
Ayers also praised the variety of the organizations attending the event, saying, “The fair offers students a chance to explore volunteer and career options with multiple organizations all in one place.”
Students looking to learn more about the fair can visit the Non-Profit and Government Agency Fair webpage on the LCC website.
