Counseling Services has relocated to the first floor of the Gannon Building near the Gannon Commons.

The new location, in GB 1204, puts the counselors in a space that is easy for students to locate. “The counseling offices are more visibly accessible for students now,” Jim Owens, LCC mental health counselor, said.

The space is bigger than the previous location just off the StarZone on the Gannon Building’s second floor. “It’s a lot bigger because of the growing counseling staff we have,” Owens said. Owens also is excited to have a quieter and more dedicated place for students to meet with their counselor and discuss what they are going through.

Counseling hours are still the same as before, with their office being open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students can schedule an appointment on the Counseling Services webpage, emailing counseling@lcc.edu, or calling 517-483-1924.
