Heavy Equipment Repair Program

Not your everyday off-road vehicle repairs

If you’ve ever had an interest in vehicle repair on a large scale, but never had the right opportunity to make a career out of it, now you do. Area employers need highly-skilled, well-trained heavy equipment repair technicians to troubleshoot and maintain their big equipment. These employers can’t always find enough qualified men and women to maintain and their fleet. If you’re interested in this type of career, Lansing Community College and AIS Construction Equipment, one of the area’s premier heavy-equipment suppliers, are in partnership offering students a new way to get some of the best heavy-equipment repair training in the region through the Heavy Equipment Repair Technician Program.

In our program, you will learn everything you need to know about repairing heavy equipment to build a career. You will even be assigned your own engine to tear down and rebuild as you complete coursework. The program is practical, hands-on and can lead you into a career starting out at $10-25 an hour. After working hard, gaining five years of experience, and depending on your level of ambition, you could be making as much as $70,000 a year.

Courses are offered throughout the year and all are offered evenings to accommodate your daytime work schedule. Spring semester begins in January, summer semester begins in June and fall classes begin in August.

We want you in our classroom next semester. If you need direction on how to begin at LCC, send us an e-mail today and let us know what’s on your mind and what you need from LCC to get started. We’ve got a place waiting for you in the classroom that can lead you to a great career start. Contact us today.
