Student Orientation

Welcome to Lansing Community College

At Orientation, you will tour campus, register for classes, learn about campus resources, LCC technology, financial aid, academic advising and much more!

Who should attend orientation?

Orientation is designed for new students and students returning after two or more years. In order to deliver the best possible program to our students, orientation sessions are designed for student attendance only. This allows staff to address the unique topics and questions that students typically have as they adjust to college life.

Parents and Guests

We welcome parents and others who will be supporting a student as they transition to college. Seating for parents and guests is limited and we can accommodate only one guest per student. Parents and guests will be seated in a separate area during the orientation to allow students to work together during session topics.

Students who require and will be bringing a personal attendant with them must complete a request form here.

Prior to attending orientation, students must:

  • Complete your placement testing placement testing prior to your session or completing online orientation. Click here for more information about placement testing.
  • Activate your username account
