Welcome to Lansing Community College's Assessment Center!

The Assessment Center of Lansing Community College provides high quality placement, certification, online and hybrid testing and offers support for face-to-face courses. The Assessment Center's goal is to offer tests in an academically secure environment that optimizes learning for students, faculty and the community.

PLACEMENT TESTING:  The Lansing Community College Assessment Center offers reading, writing, and math placement tests.  Placement levels will determine the appropriate classes for LCC students.  The Assessment Center strongly recommends talking to the Counseling and Advising department after completing placement testing.  Please click on the links below for information on waiving placement tests or checking your scores after testing.

COURSE TESTING:  The Assessment Center administers course exams for many Virtual College courses.  Please refer to your course syllabus to determine if you need to test at the Assessment Center.  You may be eligible to test at an off campus location.  Please click on the link below for information on testing at an off campus location.  The Assessment Center also administers exams for some hybrid courses and occasional make up exams from face to face classes You may call the Assessment Center at (517) 267-5500.

Bring Your Picture ID!
A picture ID is required to take a test at the Assessment Center.  Acceptable ID includes your drivers license, state ID, school ID, work ID with name and picture, and passports.  Those not able to provide an acceptable form of picture ID will not be allowed to test.
