Educational Development Plan (EDP)

An Educational Development Plan -EDP, for short- is an individualized semester-by-semester class plan for reaching the student's intended educational goal. With this plan, the student can map out a path to a certificate, degree, or career goal and set a timeline for attaining it. It is a plan that will be influenced by classes offered each semester and the student's individual circumstances, so the student and program advisor should re-evaluate it regularly.

How To Plan For Your Appointment

Please arrive at your academic advising appointment prepared. Spend some time thinking about what you want out of your appointment. Have a copy of your curriculum with you and any preparation work you may have done. If you have credits from another college, bringing a copy of your transcript will make your appointment more effective.

In general, any information pertinent to your academic goals would help in making your advising experience a positive one.
