Get your free books to participate in 2020-2021 Beyond the Book

Beyond the Book is a yearlong initiative focused on embracing diversity, equity and inclusion through reading. This year’s books are "We Should All be Feminists," by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, "There There," by Tommy Orange, "From Here to Eternity: Traveling the World to Find the Good Death," by Caitlin Doughty, and "The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row," by Anthony Ray Hinton with Lara Love Hardin.

Get your copies of the books! Curbside pickup will be available on a first come, first served basis 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28-Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the Gannon Circle Drive off Grand Avenue. ("There There" will not be distributed because it was handed out last year.) If you cannot attend, you can also find the books at local libraries and booksellers.

The college is hosting kickoff events and book discussions noon-1 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5-Thursday, Oct. 8. Register and learn more.
