Lansing Community College

Free tuition available for frontline workers

Essential workers have the opportunity to attend LCC tuition-free, thanks to a new state of Michigan program announced by Governor Gretchen Whitmer earlier this week.

Who's eligible? All essential workers in Michigan without college degrees or high school diplomas or equivalency who staffed our hospitals, nursing homes, and grocery stores, who cared for our children, provided critical police and fire services, delivered our food, picked up our trash, manufactured PPE, and performed other key jobs during April-June 2020.

The application for seeking a college degree or certificate, attaining a high school diploma or equivalency, and additional program information are available now at Michigan.gov/Frontliners, with enrollment in classes available beginning January 2021.

If you are eligible, apply today! Visit lcc.edu/frontliners for information.

If you are not eligible but you know someone else who is, please pass along this information! Returning to school is a big decision, but this is their chance to take the next step in pursuing their education.

Applications are open until Dec. 31, 2020.
